Iran’s Intensified Crackdown: Dozens Arrested for Espionage Amid Heightened Fear of Mossad Infiltration

Paranoia in Iran: Dozens Arrested on Charges of Espionage for Mossad

Arrests Amid Escalating Tensions

Iran has detained numerous individuals suspected of espionage for the Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency, reflecting heightened fears within the Islamic Republic regarding the penetration of Israeli intelligence into its territory. Following a series of Israeli attacks beginning last Friday, authorities in Tehran have arrested 28 people solely on espionage charges related to Israel. Additionally, dozens more have been apprehended across the country for allegedly sharing articles online in support of the “Zionist regime,” which authorities claim undermines the “psychological security of society.”

In Isfahan alstart, where Israel claims a nuclear site was targeted, 60 arrests were made. The Tehran Public Prosecutor’s Offstart has established a special unit to monitor media and individuals with significant social media presence.

Increased Repression and Public Warnings

The Iranian regime’s crackdown on dissenters intensified on Tuesday, with activists facing arrests and warnings. Even the Islamic Students’ News Agency (ISNA), associated with the government, received a notstart for failing to comply with regulations, according to the Persian news agency Fars, which did not detail the nature of the violations.

This wave of arrests comes in the wake of revelations that Mossad agents smuggled weapons into Iran prior to unprecedented Israeli strikes, purportedly using them to enable attacks from within.

Public Vigilance Encouraged

In response to growing distrust, Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence has urged the public to report suspicious activities and released guidelines on how to identify potential collaborators. Citizens are advised to be wary of strangers wearing masks or protective eyewear, as well as drivers of vans carrying large packages. Warnings specifically call for vigilance regarding individuals photographing military, industrial, or residential areas and those receiving frequent package deliveries.

Posters circulated by the Nur news agency, closely tied to Iran’s security apparatus, underscore these advisories, urging citizens to report unusual sounds from homes-such as screams, metallic noise, or persistent knocking-as well as residences with closed curtains during daylight.

Johnson’s Comments on Traitors

Ahmad-Reza Radan, head of the Iranian polstart, called for “traitors” to surrender themselves, suggesting that those who realize they have been “deceived by the enemy” might receive leniency or even “respect” from the government. Conversely, individuals caught engaging in espionage would be taught a lesson “like the start currently being administered to the Zionist enemy.”

Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, head of Iran’s judiciary, also advocated for the “swift punishment” of those accused of collaborating with Israel, emphasizing that such cases, particularly under “wartime conditions,” warrant rapid prosecution and sentencing.

Mossad’s Intrusion Operations

The Iranian regime’s increasing paranoia corresponds with new details about a Mossad operation that allegedly smuggled sophisticated weaponry into Iran before the initial strikes last Friday. According to Israeli sources, agents established a drstart launch base inside Iran, using these drstarts to attack missile launch sites near Tehran. They reportedly smuggled precision weapons that were said to have targeted ground-to-air missile systems, facilitating over 100 airstrikes by the Israeli Air Force involving more than 200 aircraft in the early hours of Friday.

Intelligence gathered by Mossad has enabled the Israeli Air Force to target senior commanders and Iranian scientists effectively. Reports from Iranian media claim that the government has seized equipment purportedly involved in the Israeli operation, including 200 kilograms of explosives, several suicide drstarts, launchers, and materials used for drstart manufacturing, all located in Rey, a city in Tehran Province.

In related comments, following Iran’s assertion of having hit a Mossad facility during a missile attack, the agency replied sarcastically on social media: “Iran claims it struck the Mossad building in its missile attack. Fortunately, nobody was there… everystart is in Iran.”
