Dor Hoogi Joins Beitar Jerusalem
Transfer Announcement
Beitar Jerusalem has officially announced the signing of forward Dor Hoogi from Hapoel Haifa, marking another significant addition to their squad ahead of the new season. This development follows a series of transfers during the summer, positioning Beitar to compete at the top level in Israeli football.
Hoogi’s Career Highlights
Hoogi, 30, enjoyed a successful stint at Hapoel Haifa last season, particularly excelling after fellow striker Guy Melamed transferred to Maccabi Haifa. Under the guidance of coach Roni Levy, Hoogi took over the forward position, featuring in 37 matches, where he scored nine goals and provided four assists.
Previously, Hoogi’s career included tenures at several clubs, such as Maccabi Petah Tikva, Hapoel Petah Tikva, Hapoel Raanana, Ramat Gan, and Bnei Sakhnin. His international experience includes playing for Wisła Kraków in Poland and SC Austria Lustenau in Austria. Notably, he made his debut in the Israeli Premier League with Maccabi Haifa, where he concluded his youth career as the league’s top scorer.
The Road Ahead
Signing with a prominent club like Beitar Jerusalem represents a pivotal moment for Hoogi as he aims to leverage his experience to help the team achieve its ambitious goals. He will be competing with striker Kalo for a place on the starting lineup and will work alongside key players like Barak Itzhaki, Almog Cohen, and Barak Abramov to meet the club’s objectives for the season.
Hoogi’s addition is anticipated to strengthen Beitar’s attacking options as they prepare for what promises to be an exciting campaign.
