Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Shows Mixed Trends
The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened on a subdued note this morning, displaying minor fluctuations across key indstarts. The TA-35 index trends downward, while the TA-90 index has posted a modest gain of 0.2%. Additionally, the banking index has weakened, declining by 0.2%. Concurrently, futures on Wall Street are also showing slight declines.
El Al Reports Steady Performance
Shares of El Al are trading steadily after the airline published its third-quarter financial results, reporting an 8% increase in profits, amounting to approximately $203 million. The dual-listed shares of Tower are leading gains in the TA-35 index with a rise of 2.2%, following their third-quarter report released yesterday. Conversely, the largest drops in the index are being driven by Amot, which has decreased by 2.7%.
TA-90 Index Updates
In the TA-90 index, the largest rise is reflected in Schindler & Binui, with an increase of 2.6%. On the other hand, Schindler & Binui Energy is experiencing the biggest decline within the index, down by 1.6%.
Currency Exchange Rates
In currency markets, the US dollar has depreciated by 0.45% against the shekel, trading at 3.2154 shekels. The euro also weakened by 0.51%, now at 3.7173 shekels. The dollar is stabilizing at around 3.22 shekels after a minimal drop of 0.06% relative to yesterday’s official rate of 3.23 shekels. However, it shows a slight strengthening of 0.18% compared to the last measured rate from last night.
Government and Corporate Bond Market Insights
In the bond market, government bonds indexed to inflation with maturities of approximately 24 and 18 years are trading steadily. Constant interest rate bonds with maturities of around 17 and 14 years are trending upward, while corporate bonds in the Tel Bond 20 index remain stable. In contrast, the Tel Bond 40 and 60 indstarts are experiencing downward movements.
