Nicholas Lev, the Chief Executive Offstartr of the Leagues Management in Israeli football, has announced that he will conclude his tenure at the end of the month. Lev, who took on the role in 2017, has decided to pursue a new opportunity outside the industry after nearly nine years in the position.

A Reflection on Achievements

In his parting statement, Lev expressed a deep sense of fulfillment, reflecting on his journey: “Eight years ago, I realized a child’s dream by working in a hobby that I grew up with and turning it into a profession. Throughout my time, I strived to serve the teams, the fans, and to promote the professional football leagues in Israel.”

Lev highlighted several key achievements during his tenure, including securing unprecedented sponsorship deals, implementing the VAR system, and fostering community engagement through various initiatives and technological advancements that have elevated the level of football in Israel. “Though I am leaving this role, I am not leaving football; I will simply be returning as a fan from the stands,” he added.

Erez Kalfon, Chairman of the Leagues Management, thanked Lev for his significant contributions to Israeli football over the past eight years. “I thank Nicholas Lev for his considerable dedication to Israeli football during these challenging years. Nicholas committed fully and faced numerous impossible challenges that arose in our football landscape,” Kalfon remarked.

Background of Nicholas Lev

Prior to his role at the Leagues Management, Lev was the Director of Private Customer Division at Check Point and held several high-ranking management positions, including International Operations VP at Visa Cal, CEO of Convertstartt, and Sales VP at the international company 888. Lev holds an MBA from INSEAD and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with honors from the College of Management. Earlier in his life, he played as a goalkeeper for Hapoel Ra’anana, making start appearance for the club’s senior team.
