Trump’s Shocking Claim Sparks Hamas Denial: ‘Israel is to Blame’ for Missing IDF Soldier

Trump’s Statement Shocks Hamas, Who Quickly Deny Responsibility: “It’s Israel’s Fault”

In a recent turn of events, Hamas has vehemently denied responsibility for the whereabouts of the kidnapped soldier, Ron Guali, following a statement made by former President Donald Trump. Trump claimed that the location of Guali was known, prompting Hamas to reject these assertions and accuse Israel of obstructing search efforts within areas they control, labeled as “the yellow line.”

Hamas’s Response

According to Hamas spokesman Qassem, the organization has acted “positively” regarding Guali and has exerted every effort to locate him. He criticized Israel for repeatedly denying requests to search for the soldier in areas overseen by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) within the Gaza Strip. He stated that Hamas is prepared to cooperate with mediators and allied countries within Gaza to assist in Guali’s recovery, but alleged that Israel is exploiting Guali’s unresolved fate to avoid fulfilling its commitments under the first phase of an agreement.

Family Reaction

In response to Trump’s remarks, Guali’s family expressed their belief that Hamas is fully aware of their son’s location. They stated, “Trump’s words reinforce what we have been saying for three months – Hamas knows exactly where our son is and is intentionally violating the framework proposed by President Trump and the agreement for the return of all hostages.” The family has called on the Israeli government and the U.S. administration to exert significant pressure to ensure that Hamas honors its part of the agreement, warning that sanctions should be imposed if it fails to do so.

The family continued, stating, “President Trump looked us in the eyes with tears and promised to bring our Roni back home. We have no doubt he is a man of his word, and we will see Roni at home soon.” They added that the responsibility to recover Roni rests solely with the expert government and that no actions should proceed towards implementing the second phase of the agreement until Roni is returned.

Focus on Hamas

A family member emphasized the need to refocus on what is crucial for Israel, stating, “To talk about the day after without resolving the task of dismantling Hamas is to do a disservstart to the truth, the massacre, the fallen, the suffering inhabitants, and everystart who has paid a prstart in body and soul. There should be no advancement to any stage before Hamas is dismantled and Roni is returned.”

Hamas’s denial and the family’s response to Trump’s statements underscore the ongoing complexities and sensitivities surrounding hostages and the broader Israeli-Palestinian conflict as both sides navigate this tense situation.
