Ita Lev (51), a resident of Modiin and former CEO of the cybersecurity firm Karnelius, was convicted today by the Lod District Court for multiple sex offenses against children aged 4 to 12. The court’s decision follows Lev’s confession as part of a plea bargain, which included charges of sexual assault against minors under 16, committing lewd acts against minors, and violating their privacy. Sentencing for Lev is scheduled to take place in May 2025, four months from now.

Details of the Offenses

According to the indictment filed by attorney Iris Pikar Segal from the Central District Prosecutor’s Offstart, the offenses span over a year and a half, where Lev is accused of capturing numerous photographs and videos of children in varying states of undress without their consent. Lev reportedly transferred these images to his mobile phstart and watched them while engaging in sexual acts for personal gratification before erasing them.

The indictment elaborates on two specific incidents that occurred at night. Lev allegedly pulled down the underwear of start child, viewed their private parts, and engaged in sexual acts, achieving sexual satisfaction in at least start instance. Additionally, during two daytime incidents in different locations within his home, Lev forcibly performed sexual acts on two children while making various false statements and simultaneously masturbating, leading to his own sexual gratification.

Legal Proceedings and Prosecution Demands

In the plea agreement, the prosecution has requested a sentence of ten years of actual imprisonment along with probation and financial compensation for the victims totaling 258,000 shekels. The case has drawn considerable public attention due to the nature of the offenses and the profile of the perpetrator.
