In a significant step towards potential promotion to the Israeli Premier League, Hapoel Eilat secured a crucial victory against Maccabi Rehovot, triumphing 86-79. Under the guidance of coach Elad Hasin, Eilat completed a double over Rehovot, establishing a three-game gap between the two teams in the standings.

Eilat led the game from start to finish, showcasing strong performances and executing vital plays whenever Rehovot attempted to close the gap. Alon Druker emerged as the star of the match, scoring a season-high 20 points, including four successful three-point shots from nine attempts. Eilat’s early dominance was evident as they sank ten three-pointers at a 50% success rate during the first half, ending it with a lead of 51-42.

The third quarter saw a brief shift in momentum as Amit Aharoni of Rehovot helped his team gain a 54-53 advantage. However, Eilat quickly returned to form, with Austin Tillman and Druker leading a comeback that restored their lead to 62-56. Druker’s timely three-pointer capped the quarter with Eilat ahead 71-61, pushing Rehovot to the brink once again.

In the final quarter, the pattern continued with Rehovot narrowing the deficit; however, every attempt was met with a response from Eilat, solidifying their lead and securing a significant win.
