Germany’s Rising Star: Daniel Peretz Set for Bayern Munich Exit Amidst Champions League Interest

Daniel Peretz Expected to Leave Bayern Munich This Summer

Transfer Insights

Israeli international goalkeeper Daniel Peretz is poised to leave Bayern Munich this summer. According to reports from Sky, there is a consensus within the club that it is time for Peretz to gain more playing time, either through a loan or a permanent transfer with a buy-back option.

Preferred Loan Move

Peretz himself is leaning towards a loan move, with a preference to remain in Germany. Eintracht Frankfurt, currently third in the Bundesliga, has emerged as a serious contender for his signature, particularly following a serious knee injury to backup goalkeeper Kevin Trapp. Frankfurt is actively seeking reinforcement in the goalkeeper position and has reportedly initiated discussions with Bayern regarding Peretz.

Interest from Abroad

The 24-year-old goalkeeper is attracting interest beyond Germany as well. Reports indicate that both English club Southampton and French team Lens are considering signing him. Notably, Lens had made initial contact regarding Peretz back in January and continues to show interest.

Bayern Munich’s Strategic Changes

Peretz’s anticipated departure aligns with broader changes within Bayern Munich’s squad. He joined the club from Maccabi Tel Aviv in the summer of 2023 but has had limited opportunities to play due to fierce competition from Manuel Neuer, Sven Ulreich, and, more recently, Jonas Oerbig. Despite the lack of playing time, Bayern Munich views Peretz as a goalkeeper with significant potential for development and does not discount the possibility of him returning in the future.

Consequently, the club’s preference is to find a loan arrangement or a permanent transfer that includes a buy-back clause. Peretz is determined to take the next step in his career, aiming for regular playing time at a high level. With numerous options available, both in Germany and abroad, a decision is expected in the coming weeks. There is a strong possibility that he will remain in the Bundesliga for another season at a club that allows him to thrive.
