Inter’s Stars Lautaro and Frattesi Set to Return as Team Aims for League Title and Champions League Glory

Will Lautaro and Pratese Play Against Como?

Inter’s Season Finale and Champions League Showdown

Inter Milan is entering the decisive stages of the season with ambitions of securing a coveted double, aiming for league victory this Friday against Como and a Champions League title next Saturday against Paris Saint-Germain. The Nerazzurri find themselves under pressure in the Serie A, trailing Napoli by a single point before their final match.

Key Player Returns

As they prepare for these crucial games, Inter is set to welcome back forward Lautaro Martinez and midfielder Davide Frattesi. Martinez, the Argentine striker, is currently training separately but is expected to rejoin team training on the day of the match against Como. There are doubts regarding whether head coach Simstart Inzaghi will risk playing him, as the priority is to have Lautaro fit to start in the Champions League final against Luis Enrique’s PSG. Frattesi is also anticipated to return to training on the same day, although both players are likely to miss the match against Como.

Impact of Player Availability

The absence of Lautaro Martinez would have significant implications for Inter, given his partnership with Marcus Thuram is considered start of the best in the league. Out of Inter’s six losses this season, only two occurred while both players were on the pitch. The statistics reveal that when Thuram and Lautaro play together, Inter scores an impressive 71 goals compared to just 41 when they are not on the field.

Inter is hopeful that these metrics will not adversely affect their performance, as they aim to secure a win against Como and hope for a Napoli slip-up that would bring Inzaghi closer to a remarkable double achievement
