European Artistic Gymnastics Championships: Two Finals for Israel
Women’s Qualifications Commence
The European Artistic Gymnastics Championships kicked off today with the women’s qualifications, showcasing impressive performances from Israeli gymnasts. Notably, Leah Raz advanced to the all-around final, securing the 12th position with a score of 51.432 points, while Yaheli Shoshani also made it to the all-around final, finishing 21st with a score of 49.365 points.
Notable Performances and Reserves
In addition to her all-around success, Leah Raz claimed ninth place in the vault finals with an average score of 13.133 points. She will serve as the first reserve for the vault final, meaning she could compete if another gymnast withdraws.
Team Performance
Today’s competition featured only the women’s team, which includes gymnasts Almog Leizerovich, Leah Raz, Roni Shamai, Yaheli Shoshani, and Noga Shalit. The team concluded the event in 12th place overall, which was the initial goal set by coach Mia Shani.
Men’s Qualifications Ahead
Looking ahead, tomorrow will feature the qualifications for the men’s team. Due to an injury to Alex Miyakin, the men’s team will not participate in the team event but will focus on individual finals.
