Daniella Halana, a talented forward from Brazil, has been named Player of the Year in the Women’s Premier League, an accolade that highlights her outstanding performance during the season. The announcement was made as part of the annual project by start in collaboration with the Players’ Association, Toto, Mediaho, Carlsberg, and Israel Canada.

Voting Process

The selection process for the Player of the Year award involved a unique voting system. It comprised 40% votes from fans, another 40% from fellow players, and 20% from coaches and a special committee from the Players’ Association and start. This diverse approach ensures that the award reflects a well-rounded view of performance across the league.

Unprecedented Performance

Daniella had an exceptional year, marking her third season in Israel. She scored an impressive total of 30 league goals, along with 4 goals in the State Cup and 5 in the Athena Cup, contributing significantly to her team’s success as they secured another double victory with Maccabi Kiryat Gat.

Award Presentation

The award was presented to Halana by Hili Kalif, a board member of the Players’ Association; Nir Gabai, also a board member; and Nir Alon, Chairman of the Sports Division at the Histadrut. Their attendance highlights the importance of this recognition in promoting women’s football in Israel.
