Maccabi Haifa has officially announced the coaching staff that will accompany new head coach Diego Flores for the upcoming season. The announcement, made on Thursday, marks the latest development in the club’s preparations for the year ahead following Flores’ arrival this summer.

Coaching Assistants

Diego Flores will be supported by two foreign assistant coaches. The first is 52-year-old Rubén Carlos Rodríguez, who has worked alongside Flores for the past four seasons at Gimnasia, Tucumán, and Godoy Cruz. The second assistant, 44-year-old Luciano Tyler, brings 13 years of coaching experience from various clubs in Argentina, Peru, Paraguay, and Bolivia.

Additional Staff Roles

In addition to the assistant coaches, the dynamic of the coaching staff will include several other key roles:

  • Goalkeeping Coach: Itai Zilpa
  • Fitness Coach: Dror Shemesh
  • Physiologist and GPS Specialist: Uri Harel
  • Head of Mental Development Program: Elad Ashkenazi
  • Injury Rehabilitation Supervisor: Gal Vaknin
  • Team Manager: Gil Ofek

Gai Weizinger will continue as the set-piece coach in the youth department, working alongside Itai Mordechai and Ofer Fabian.
