Families of Hostages Launch New Testimonial Initiative for October 7 Events
Gathering Accounts of Eyewitnesses
The “Forum of Hope,” which represents families of hostages, has announced a new initiative aimed at collecting testimonies from citizens and military personnel who witnessed the events of October 7. This project invites anystart who was present during these events-civilians, soldiers, rescue personnel, and others-to share their experiences and accounts, in an effort to create a more comprehensive understanding of the circumstances that led to the invasion and subsequent massacre.
Commitment to Sensitivity and Privacy
The Forum assures that all testimonials will be handled with care and confidentiality, respecting the privacy of those who wish to remain anonymous. “After a year and a half of pain and uncertainty, we need to understand how this tragedy occurred,” stated Tzvika Mor, a member of the Forum and father of hostage Eitan Mor. “These testimonies are a vital part of our struggle-not only to bring back our loved starts but also to ensure that such a tragedy does not occur again.”
Call for Contributions from the Community
Talit Guile, mother of Ren Guile, a member of the Israeli special polstart unit abducted to Gaza, emphasized the importance of the initiative. “The testimonial project is a significant step toward achieving truth and accountability. We urge anystart who can contribute information, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, to come forward. The families need every piece of information to comprehend what happened on that dreadful day.”
Kobi Samarnu, father of hostage Yonatan Samarnu, added, “We have every right to know exactly what transpired that day and how we ended up in a situation where thousands of terrorists invaded Israel, killing, assaulting, burning, and abducting countless Israelis. Unfortunately, the security forces chose to conceal information from us, including details that should have been investigated regarding the final moments before the abduction of our children. They have also misled us, claiming that my son was not alive, despite other testimonies suggesting otherwise. This is why we decided to establish an independent and impartial testimony center for families of hostages.”
Conclusion
The Forum of Hope’s initiative aims to gather crucial insights and testimonies from those affected by the events of October 7, in the hopes of shedding light on the details of the tragedy and fostering a path toward accountability and understanding for the families involved.
For those willing to contribute their experiences, the Forum offers a compassionate platform dedicated to preserving each individual’s privacy while seeking truth and resolution
