The Future Looks Bright for Hapoel Haifa’s Youth Team with New Addition Liran Mardehayev
Hapoel Haifa’s Ambition to Return to the Premier League
Hapoel Haifa’s U-15 team is setting its sights on a return to the Premier League by the end of the current season. Under the guidance of coach Nir Lupo, the team has been performing exceptionally well, and barring any unforeseen setbacks, they appear poised to achieve this goal after a two-year absence from top-tier competition.
Signing Liran Mardehayev
In a strategic move to bolster their roster, the club has signed Liran Mardehayev, a promising player who will celebrate his 15th birthday next month. Mardehayev joined Hapoel Haifa from M.K. Neve Yosef, a team in the U-15 league that recently completed the first half of the season in the lower tier but is currently positistartd favorably in the relegation playoff without any significant threat of dropping out of the league.
Early Career and Transition
Having played 19 matches this season for Neve Yosef, Mardehayev has already made his mark, scoring three goals across all competitions. He initially began his football journey in the youth department of Hapoel Tirat HaCarmel, making his competitive debut in December 2020 and quickly advancing through the ranks. After three years at Hapoel Tirat HaCarmel, he transferred to Neve Yosef, and now, Hapoel Haifa marks his third club.
During the signing ceremony, attended by Youth Department Director Menashe Levi, as well as coach Nir Lupo, Mardehayev’s potential was highlighted. “This is a significant signing for our U-15 team,” stated the youth department in their announcement. “Mardehayev’s capabilities will be essential as we lead the table and aim for promotion to the Premier League by season’s end.”
Recent Team Performance
In their latest match against M.K. Galil Golan, which ended in a goalless draw, Hapoel Haifa maintained their position at the top of the league table. As they continue their pursuit of Premier League status, the addition of Mardehayev is expected to provide the team with a competitive edge.
Looking Ahead
With a promising future ahead, the Hapoel Haifa U-15 team aims to harness their current momentum and achieve their goal of returning to the Premier League. As Mardehayev integrates into the team, supporters are hopeful that his contributions will help drive the club back to its elite status.
