Hostage Survivors Urge Netanyahu and Trump: ‘Seize this Historic Moment for Peace Negotiations

Survivor’s Call to Action: “Do Not Halt the Historical Momentum – Sign a Deal”

Over 65 Survivors of Kidnapping Urge Israeli and U.S. Leaders

In a heartfelt appeal issued on Wednesday, over 65 survivors of abduction have called upon Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. President Donald Trump, and American envoy Steve Weitzkopf to seize an opportune moment for advancing negotiations aimed at securing the release of hostages. This urgent request follows the recent release of soldier Idan Alexander, which has sparked hope among families and former hostages for progress in a larger regional diplomatic initiative.

The open letter, penned by the survivors, reads, “We, the survivors of abduction during the state’s mismanagement on October 7, express our joy and gratitude for the release of hostages, particularly Idan Alexander. We believe that the Israeli government now faces a genuine opportunity to return to the negotiating table. We ask all who are involved in this process not to leave until a comprehensive deal is signed.”

Salvaging Lives Amidst Ongoing Conflict

Survivors emphasize the widespread sentiment among the Israeli populace favoring the return of hostages, suggesting that this could even come at the cost of pausing ongoing hostilities. They highlighted the sanctity of human life and the importance of returning fallen soldiers to their final resting places in Israel.

The letter further appealed directly to President Trump, Prime Minister Netanyahu, and government ministers, stating, “Do not stop the historical momentum.” The survivors concluded their message with an urgent plea: “Release all our brothers and sisters from hell – regardless of their citizenship status. Only the immediate return of all hostages through a deal will lay the foundation for lives filled with hope, unity, and the ability to rise anew.
