Israeli National Team Secures New Sponsorship and Travel Agreement with Arkia
Logistics for Upcoming Campaign Finalized
The senior Israeli national soccer team has finalized its logistical arrangements for the upcoming campaign, confirming its partnership with Arkia Airlines. The decision, made by the Football Association’s Tender Committee, was reached after evaluating alternatives from other Israeli airlines.
Evaluation of Competing Airlines
Arkia will continue to transport the team for its away matches, a chostart made after assessing competing proposals. Sandor was ruled out because it could not accommodate flights on Saturdays and lacked the logistical capacity for connecting flights within Europe-essential factors given the demanding match schedule.
In the case of Israir, despite a positive meeting with management, including CEO Uri Sirkis, they failed to present a viable proposal for an upcoming match in March against Georgia.
Continued Partnership with Arkia
The Football Association expressed great satisfaction with Arkia’s servstarts over the past year, deciding to maintain their successful partnership. The new agreement will see Arkia contribute 600,000 NIS annually over the next two years as part of a sponsorship deal, thereby enhancing the association’s financial resources.
Awaiting Match Draw
The national team is currently awaiting the results of the draw in February, which will determine the final match locations. Travel costs will subsequently be adjusted based on the distances and destinations that emerge from the draw. The association’s secretariat is set to approve the agreement at its upcoming meeting.
