Team Performance in Group Stage

The Israeli U19 basketball team has successfully completed the group stage of the FIBA World Championship, finishing in first place after a thrilling 80-76 victory against the Dominican Republic. Under the guidance of coach Sharon Abrahami, the team began the tournament with an impressive win against host nation Switzerland and also received a technical victory when Jordan withdrew from their scheduled match.

Upcoming Matchup

As a result of their strong performance, Israel now advances to face Cameroon, who finished fourth in their group. This matchup presents a seemingly favorable opportunity for Israel, allowing them to avoid a tougher confrontation against powerhouse teams like the United States and France, which are also competing in the tournament.
