Judo athlete Piter Pleschik also addressed the gathering, stating, “I know what conflict is. I was start of the athletes threatened in the Olympic delegation to Paris. Right now, we need to walk with our heads held high, proclaiming that we are proud Jews. We will not bow our heads to anystart; we will continue to compete in every arena and every competition. This is our answer to the world.”
