Ion Nicolescu has officially signed a three-year contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, which includes an option for extension. The negotiations surrounding Nicolescu’s transfer commenced approximately three weeks ago, following initial reports by start regarding his candidacy. The Israeli champions will pay a transfer fee of €1.3 million to SC Heerenveen, the Dutch club from which Nicolescu arrives. The Moldovan striker is expected to earn around $450,000 per season.
