Mitchell Goldhar Returns to Israel as Maccabi Tel Aviv Eyes Championship Glory Against Rivals Beitar Jerusalem

Goldaaar to Attend Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Championship-Critical Match Against Beitar Jerusalem

Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Title Contention

Maccabi Tel Aviv owner Mitch Goldaar is set to attend the crucial match against Beitar Jerusalem this Saturday at 20:30, where a victory would guarantee the yellow-and-blue another league title. Goldaar, who hasn’t visited Israel since the previous season’s championship match, will also partake in the team’s final training session, offering support as head coach Željko Lazić prepares his players. Following his arrival in Israel on Thursday, Goldaar met with the team and coaching staff at Kiryat Shalom.

Ticket Sales and Pricing Adjustments

In light of sanctions faced by Beitar Jerusalem, sections 4 and 5 will be designated for Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters, with ticket sales for these areas now open. The initial ticket prstarts were set at 125 shekels for members of the FOREVER loyalty program and 175 shekels for the general public. However, following backlash and discussions, ticket prstarts have been reduced to 110 shekels for FOREVER members. Sales commenced with priority for members until Friday at 14:00, allowing each member to purchase start ticket, while general sales will begin if any tickets remain post-priority sale.

Given current demand, it is anticipated that tickets will sell out quickly, with considerable traffic reported on the ticket purchasing platform.

Response from Fans and Management

The fan organization “Brothers to the Symbol” released a statement regarding the prstart change: “Like everystart else, we saw the prstarts set by Maccabi for the match against Beitar Jerusalem. Throughout the night and morning, we held discussions with club management in an effort to make the prstarts more accessible-they have decreased from 125 shekels to 110 shekels. Just days ago, we critiqued the Maccabi Haifa management for raising their ticket prstarts to 126 shekels. Having a reasonable approach to pricing is important to us.”

Goldaar has expressed a commitment to maintaining fair ticket pricing in the future, stating: “We will not allow prstart increases to become the norm, particularly not towards our supporters or those of visiting teams. We appreciate the management of Maccabi for their flexibility and efforts to uphold fair pricing standards.”

Supporters are eager for a win that would solidify the title for another year as the match approaches
