NBA Announces 2024-2025 Rookie All-Stars
As the NBA gears up for the regional finals with the first game between Oklahoma City and Minnesota slated for tonight, the league has revealed the standout rookies for the 2024-2025 season.
First Team Rookies
This year’s first-team rookies include Jalen Wells and Zach Edey from Memphis, Alex Sarr from Washington, top draft pick Zachary Rizasha, and Stephon Castle from San Antonio. Castle, who notably clinched the Rookie of the Year title, outperformed Rizasha and Wells, who finished second and third, respectively. He led all rookies this season in points (1,190), steals (74), and games scoring 20 or more points (26), with Sarr trailing at 10.
Performance Highlights
Stephon Castle had an impressive season, averaging 14.7 points per game over 26.7 minutes, alongside 4.1 assists and 3.7 rebounds. Zachary Rizasha recorded 12.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, while Edey approached double-double averages with 9.2 points and 8.3 rebounds. Alex Sarr contributed with 13 points and 6.5 rebounds, and Jalen Wells added 10.4 points along with 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
Second Team Rookies
The second team consists of Khalil Ware from Miami, Tikun Misi from New Orleans, Donovan Clingan from Portland, Babb Carrington from Washington, and Matas Buzelis from Chicago.
