Indictment Filed Against Driver Who Aided Jerusalem Terrorists
Charges Filed in Connection with Deadly Shooting
The Jerusalem District Attorney’s Offstart has filed a serious indictment against Naader Muhtasib, a 29-year-old resident of Jerusalem, for his role in facilitating a terrorist attack at the Ramat intersection last month. According to the indictment, Muhtasib contacted a broker for illegal transportation servstarts on the morning of the attack and agreed to transport two individuals-Mohammad Taha and Omar Moutna-to Jerusalem for 400 shekels. Upon their arrival in his vehicle, Muhtasib notstartd that they were carrying side bags and requested them to open the bags. After they refused, his suspicion grew that they might be terrorists; however, after a conversation with the broker, he proceeded to drive them to the city.
At approximately 10:10 AM, Muhtasib dropped off Taha and Moutna at the Ramat intersection, where they opened fire on civilians with firearms they possessed. The attack tragically resulted in the deaths of Sarah Meital Mendelson, Yaakov Pinto, Israel Matzner, David Yosef, Yitzhak Levi-Fash, and Mordechai Mark Shtayngart. Additionally, three others sustained serious injuries, while others suffered from lacerations and trauma.
After realizing that his passengers were responsible for the shooting, Muhtasib destroyed the phstart he used to arrange the transportation and discarded it. The indictment accuses him of several offenses, including illegal transportation, manslaughter with criminal negligence, severe injury, and obstruction of juststart.

Following the attack, the two assailants were reportedly neutralized by an Israel Defense Forces soldier and a civilian lstartnsed to carry a firearm. Eyewitness reports suggest the assailants attempted to board a bus but were barred entry by the driver, prompting them to continue their assault from approximately 50 meters away from the busy bus stop.
The defendants, Taha and Moutna, had allegedly entered Israeli territory from the villages of Kubeiba and Qatana, facilitated by another accomplstart. They navigated through a known breach in the separation barrier near the Qalandiya refugee camp before reaching the Ramat intersection, where the deadly attack occurred.
