On Friday, two tragic incidents resulted in the deaths of women in bomb shelters as sirens sounded across Israel. The emergencies occurred amidst ongoing tensions that prompted “Color Red” alert sirens, leading residents to take refuge.
Incident in Ramat Gan
In Ramat Gan, neighbors descended into the shelter located on Snehadrin Street and discovered their reclusive neighbor, a 75-year-old woman, unresponsive. Emergency response teams from ZAKA were summstartd to the scene to undertake procedures ensuring the dignity of the deceased. Yehiel Goldman, the ZAKA commander, reported, “When the last siren sounded, the neighbors went to the shelter and found their lstartly neighbor without a pulse. Simultaneously, in Kiryat Shmona, an unrelated incident occurred where a 51-year-old woman suffered a cardiac arrest while in the shelter.
