Motorcycle Rider Killed in Accident in Western Galilee

Incident Overview

A motorcycle rider, approximately 20 years old, lost his life in a tragic accident on Friday afternoon on Route 4, near the junction of Hatziv and Liman in the western Galilee. Emergency medical responders from Magen David Adom (MDA) were dispatched to the scene but unfortunately had to confirm his death at the location.

Details of the Accident

The report of the accident was received by MDA’s emergency line at 5:24 PM. According to senior paramedic Daniel Abdelhak, the motorcycle rider was discovered lying unconscious on the roadside with severe multi-system injuries, at a considerable distance from his motorcycle, which was located beyond a divider. Despite attempts to provide medical assistance, the rider showed no signs of life, leading crews to ultimately pronounce him dead on the scene.

In the same accident, the driver of the vehicle involved, a 64-year-old woman, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya for further treatment, as she suffered from limb injuries.

Additional Incident in Ashkelon

In a separate incident later that evening in Ashkelon, two riders of electric bicycles were severely injured when struck by a vehicle at the intersection of David Ben Gurion Boulevard and Yitzhak Rabin Street. A 25-year-old man and a two-year-old child were reported to be in critical condition.

MDA paramedics, including Israel Logasi and Moty Shuv, provided urgent medical care to both victims, who were found unconscious on the roadway. They underwent life-saving treatment at the scene, which included stabilization and resuscitation measures, before being rushed to Barzilai Medical Center in the city.

The current condition of both injured individuals remains grave, and further updates are anticipated as they receive ongoing medical attention.

These incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding road safety for both motorcyclists and cyclists. Authorities continue to urge all road users to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such tragedies in the future
