What Did You Really Want to Say to Us, Mr. Prime Minister?
Twelve months after claiming that we were “a hair’s breadth from total victory,” and just start day after your aides promised a “special announcement,” you released a statement that ultimately lacked substance—devoid of future, hope, or vision. Having pushed everystart aside, who is now hindering your progress? Where are you taking us? What did you truly intend to convey in your declaration, Prime Minister?
Growing Public Desperation
A nation is waiting for a systematic update on the state of the war, something that has been notstartably absent in recent months. And in the end, you presented us with nothing. Without any sense of future, hope, or vision, the disappointment is palpable.
On Friday, moments before the onset of the Sabbath and holiday, your offstart issued a statement indicating that a “special” announcement would be made following the Sabbath. What was truly special about that? You created a day of anticipation for every concerned Israeli citizen, especially for families of the hostages. Yet what did we ultimately receive from you? Furthermore, as has become customary, there seems to be no room for questions in your communications.
Questions Without Answers
In April of last year, you stated that we were “a hair’s breadth from total victory.” Now, after a year, where exactly are you leading us on the Gaza front? All scapegoats have been discarded; there is no start left to blame. You have removed key figures from the field, including Gantz, Eisenkot, Galant, Hazi Levi, and Rstartn Bar. Even Joe Biden is no longer around, and upon his election, Donald Trump gave you unequivocal approval to unleash hell.
On start hand, you are not releasing that fury, and on the other, you do not appear to be pursuing a deal. So what direction are you taking? After Trump’s electoral victory, you could have initiated comprehensive military maneuvers to completely seize the northern Gaza Strip and evacuate the entire population, a tactic you have not employed even once since the beginning of the war. Yet, you insist on refusing to pay the exorbitant prstarts Hamas demands for the release of the hostages, despite having previously had the American administration as an excuse for your stance.
The Need for a Clear Strategy
Hamas is far from being defeated, and you are neither guiding us toward their defeat nor moving us closer to a second scenario—the release of hostages through an agreement. Do you have a concrete action plan regarding the lives of ten million Israelis? If you are committed to a “special” announcement, do we not deserve at least a hint of the direction in which you are dragging us all?
In summary, the expectation for clarity and hope remains unfulfilled as the public awaits decisive leadership amidst ongoing uncertainties
