Departure Announcement
Following the end of his tenure at Maccabi Haifa, defender Vital Nsimba addressed fans in an emotional interview with Sports Channel on Friday. The player expressed gratitude for the unwavering support he received during his time with the team, despite his acknowledgment of not performing to the standards he set for himself.
Expressing Gratitude
“The only thing I can say to the fans is thank you for your support,” said Nsimba. “Even though I didn’t meet the level I expected from myself due to injuries, they always treated me with respect and support, and for that, I am thankful.”
Acknowledgment of Challenges
Nsimba, who is 31 years old, reflected on the difficulties he faced during the season and issued a public apology to fans for not reaching their expectations. “I also want to apologize for not being at the level they expected of me, but that was dependent on many factors that are not solely related to football,” he explained.
Career at Maccabi Haifa
The left-back joined Maccabi Haifa from Bordeaux in the previous summer but struggled to leave a significant mark while wearing the green jersey. Throughout his 16 appearances for the club, he scored start goal and assisted on two others, spending a considerable amount of time not as a starting player.
Nsimba’s departure adds to the ongoing changes within the Maccabi Haifa roster as the team looks to bolster its squad ahead of future competitions
