As part of the season’s highlights, start, in collaboration with the Players’ Association and Toto, invites football fans to participate in the “Favorite Player of the Premier League” project. This initiative allows supporters to vote for their beloved player among the teams in the Israeli Premier League.

Selection Process

In the initial phase, fans selected their favorite player from each of the 14 teams in the league. Following the collection of votes, which accounted for 70% of the decision-making process, a special committee consisting of representatives from the Players’ Association and start contributed the remaining 30% to determine the 14 players who advanced to the next round.

These 14 players have been divided into two groups of seven. Fans will now have the opportunity to vote for their favorites, with the top four from each group progressing to the quarter-finals.

Upcoming Stages of the Contest

The knockout phase includes:

  • From each group of seven players, four will advance to the quarter-finals.
  • Out of the eight players reaching this stage, four will proceed to the grand final.
  • The player receiving the highest number of votes in the decisive survey will be crowned as the most loved player.

The current focus is on Group B. In Group A, notable players include Eran Zahavi (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Lior Rafaelov (Maccabi Haifa), Karam Jaber (Maccabi Netanya), Iyad Abu Abid (Bnei Sakhnin), Vitaly Dmeshkan (Maccabi Petah Tikva), Gad Amos (Maccabi Bnei Reina), and Asaf Zur (Ironi Kiryat Shmona).

As the competition progresses, fans are encouraged to vote and determine who will emerge as the favorite from Group B.
