Four days after being critically injured in a shooting, 20-year-old Mondar Abu Blal from Rahat succumbed to his wounds today. The incident occurred on Thursday evening as he was returning from work. Emergency response teams received a call regarding the shooting at 8:08 PM on Thursday. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene to find Abu Blal unconscious, without a pulse or breath, and suffering from multiple penetrating and severe injuries. MDA personnel administered initial medical treatment and advanced resuscitation efforts before transporting him to Soroka Hospital, where his condition was reported as critical.

In a related event on Friday, a 30-year-old woman from the southern region sustained serious injuries from gunfire at a gas station parking lot near the Be’er Sheva intersection.
